We were really proud to lead a service at Grimsby Cenotaph to commemorate the centenary anniversary of the start of the First World War, as part of the Royal British Legion’s ‘Lights Out’ campaign. Members of the public, distinguished guests and Scout members all lit candles and listened to popular songs from the time, as well as readings of war poetry and extracts from Bert and Ted Wood’s letters from the front. We projected images, including those of our three known casualties onto the cenotaph throughout the evening, and received some very good coverage from the local paper.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in remembering the service men and women who gave their lives.
