William Alfred Craske, known to his Scouts as ‘Skip’ was Scoutmaster with 3rd Cleethorpes Scout Group for over 60 years- including throughout the Second World War.
Throughout the conflict he wanted to make sure that his old Scouts that were serving in the Armed Forces, knew that they weren’t forgotten by their old group. And that being a member of the worldwide family of Scouts wasn’t something that ended once they left the movement. He organised food parcels, postal orders and other letters and treats to be sent to them all…. and kept the replies that they sent back.
