Although the purpose of these pages is primarily to remember the contributions of local Scouts, the CWGC Living Memory project has inspired us to research a little about some of the other casualties buried at Scartho Road Cemetery.

From our research we found that there are seven casualties from the battle of the Somme buried in the cemetery-

MAZINGHAM, Amos

SMART, John ‘Bert’

STONE, Francis Carl Gerrard

ROBINSON, George Henry

TIGHE, John

WRINGE, Albert

There are also 284 other WW1 casualties (including Bert Wood)
